Our Family Gets On A Plane In Two Days

We fly into Shanghai on Saturday, and will be spending one night there, before our flight to Guangzhou the Sunday morning.

That's when we will meet our beautiful daughter, Miah. Our wonderful Bible Chapel is praying for her, and have been for some time. It is a comfort to know that so many people care about her and other children in China. Our dear chapel had a baby shower for True Children's Home and Miah's former orphanage (where she lived until September 2008).

Once in Guangzhou (July 12-17) our guide, Jack, will help us do what we need to do with the large amount of paperwork that we are taking with us. I feel much less organized this time around. I think I can fix it a little bit, by updating the labels on my file folder, to reflect the different document names used in a special needs adoption.

We end our trip to beautiful China in Beijing, where we will meet up with the rest of fellow travelers also from Nova Scotia. The last time I was in Beijing (December 2005) it was December and freezing cold and very windy. My excuse for not climbing the Great Wall, this time, will most likely be the heat. I suspect Jon and Dena (older daughter) will climb it, however.

We will post while we are in China, if we are not able to post, we will send emails to a friend who will post for us.

Thank you to all of you who have supported, encouraged, loved, helped us during this wait for our precious daughter.

God Bless

Christine
